Kia Ruiz

Kia M. Ruiz is a Black, Ngabe-Bugle, and Five Tribes descendent whose science work includes herpetology and landscape ecology. Kia transmuted organismal uses in the landscape to humans and the food system with advocacy for understanding foods produced with genetic engineering, water equity, resource utilization, and looking at efficiencies in the environment from traditional ecological knowledge.
