Christina’s commitment to sustainable food systems was fueled by her degree in Environmental Policy & Institutions, learning from community members dedicated to agriculture, and mutual aid work. An academic focus on global trade fed Christina's interest in food imports, which led her to Equal Exchange. In three years at the worker-owned cooperative, Christina has focused primarily on avocado supply chain logistics and customer relations. She views this work as continuous learning in tandem with partners at food co-ops, distributors, and producer organizations.
